Updating the Sansa Clip Sport / Clip Zip / Clip+ / Clip's firmware
How do I update the firmware on my Sansa Clip Sport / Clip Zip / Clip+ / Clip player?

Manual Firmware Installation (Download and Instructions)
After firmware update you will need to select your Language and Region preference.

For Clip Sport
Please see this link for details on how to update firmware for the Clip Sport.

For the Clip Zip
Clip Zip Firmware (All Regions) - Click here to download
1. Remove any external card from the Clip Zip before performing firmware update.
2. Ensure your battery is > 50% full.
3. Plug in your Sansa Clip Zip to your computer.
4. Extract the clpza.bin file from the .zip file you just downloaded into a folder on your computer.
5. Once extracted, drag the file to the root directory of your Sansa Clip Zip.
6. Disconnect the Sansa Clip Zip and let the firmware update begin.
7. The player will display 'Firmware Update in Process' and turn off when finished.
8. Turn the Clip Zip on, Select your language and region preference.
9. Go to Settings > System Settings > Info, and verify the "Version" is now 01.01.21"x".

For the Clip+
Clip+ Firmware (All Regions) -  Click here to download
1. Remove any external card from the Clip+ before performing firmware update.
2. Ensure your battery is > 50% full.
3. Plug in your Sansa Clip+ to your computer.
4. Extract the clppa.bin file from the .zip file you just downloaded into a folder on your computer.
5. Once extracted, drag the file to the root directory of your Sansa Clip+.
6. Disconnect the Sansa Clip+ and let the firmware update begin.
7. The player will display 'Firmware Update in Process' and turn off when finished.
8. Turn the Clip+ on, Select your language and region preference.
9. Go to Settings > System Settings > Info, and verify the "Version" is now 01.02.18"x".

For the Clip
On your Sansa Clip, verify the hardware revision.
     - From the Main Menu, go to Settings > System Info and select Version
     - If the Version is V01.xx.xxx, you have hardware revision 1.0.
     - If the Version is V02.xx.xxx, you have hardware revision 2.0.
Download the correct firmware for your version player.
     - Clip Firmware (Revision 1,  All Languages) - Click here to download
     - Clip Firmware (Revision 2, All Languages) -  Click here to download
1. Ensure your battery is > 50% full.
2. Plug in your Sansa Clip to your computer.
3. Extract the m300a.bin or m300pa.bin file from the .zip file you just downloaded into a folder on your computer.
4. Once extracted, drag the file to the root directory of your Sansa Clip.
5. Disconnect the Sansa Clip and let the firmware update begin.
6. The player will display 'Firmware Update in Process' and turn off when finished.
7. Turn the Clip on, Select your language and region preference.
8. Go to Settings > System Info, and verify the "Version"
     -  Clip (Revision 1) latest version is 01.01.35"x"
     -  Clip (Revision 2) latest version is 02.01.35"x"

Note: If unsure of the Clip hardware revision, you can try each. If the firmware does not install, delete the firmware file on the player and try the other version.
