NOTE: Before updating the firmware, backup all your data and use a fresh battery.
STEP 1 - Download the firmware
STEP 2 - Update the e100 to the latest firmware
1. Connect the player to the PC.
2. Run the downloaded firmware updater (sansa-2.0.0.01a.exe).
3. In the License dialog, click I accept the license agreement, then click Next.
4. Click Start.
WARNING: Formatting will delete all data in the player. Backup your data.
5. Click Yes.
6. Firmware update starts.
7. Click Finished after the firmware update is completed, then disconnect the device.
STEP 3 - Verify if the firmware was updated successfully
1. Turn on the player.
2. Select your preferred language.
3. After the system updates, press the Menu button on the side of the player.
4. Scroll to Information and select.
- Devices with firmware 1.x.xxx will be updated to 1.0.010
- Devices with firmware 2.x.xxx will be updated to 2.0.001
