There are the two scenarios where a cache reset can occur:
1. During reboot - This is due to the file system signature changes between previous system shutdown/reboot and boot up. This can be caused by:
a. Booting into another OS ( e.g.: Windows PE, dual boot, etc…)
b. Changes to file system after system shutdown; we have observed (from OEM system) some system BIOS make file system changes
c. Cache drive unavailability during boot up; recommendation is to use the same controller for the SSD as the OS drive.
2. While system is running - the only reason for this is an I/O error to the SSD. This can be caused by:
a. Bad SATA cable or connection.
b. Failing SSD
c. Not enough power in the system - power dips
