"The directory or file cannot be created" message appears when copying files
Why can't I copy files to my device?
This message will appear if the device is formatted in FAT or Fat32 or the maximum number of viewable files and folders in the root directory has been reached.
STEP 1 - Backup the files or folders onto your computer
STEP 2 - Re-format the device in exFat
1. Double-click My Computer.
2. Right-click on your device, and then select Format.
3. In the File system list, click exFat.
4. Click Start.
5. Click OK.to start formatting.
6. Click OK again after format is completed.
STEP 3 - Restore your backed up files or folders to your device
